Frequently asked questions

What services do you provide? 

We provide individual therapy for both adults and adolescents/teens. We provide couples therapy for dating, engaged, and married couples. We provide family therapy. We provide support groups for various mental health topics. Visit our SERVICES page for more details and information. 


How long are sessions?

A standard individual session is 50 minutes long. 

A standard couples session is 60 minutes long. 

A standard family session is 90 minutes long. 


Do you offer telehealth appointments? 

We are currently offering telehealth sessions. This means your therapy sessions will be held via a secure video platform that is HIPAA-compliant. Please feel free to join your sessions in a space that feels private and safe for you. 


What if you don’t accept my insurance? 

We currently accept the following insurance plans; Aetna, United Healthcare, Carefirst, Oxford, BlueCross BlueShield and Oscar. 

We are also an out-of-network provider. This means even if we don’t accept your insurance, your plan may reimburse you a portion of your financial investment. Reach out to your insurance provider directly to inquire about your out-of-network benefits. 

Must I reside in a certain state to receive services?

Our therapists are licensed in Washington, DC., Maryland, and Virginia. We are only accepting clients who permanently reside in any of these states. 


What is your cancellation policy? 

We understand that life happens. We welcome cancellations and rescheduling for appointments within 24 hours before your appointment time. Please feel free to contact us via email to initiate the process. Cancellations made after the 24hour grace period are subject to our cancellation fees.
